Chicagoan turned Brooklynite; NDD has lived in Bed-Stuy [Do-or-Die] for nearly a decade with her husband, David, and their rescued menagerie. Educated in New York and France, NDD studied Art History + Photography and initially worked for the American Red Cross and Johnson & Johnson.

Known as the Brooklyn Contessa, NDD founded BKLYN contessa in 2008 and was one of the original lifestyle + design social media brands. NDD pioneered social media strategy and advocated for concepts like “interact and follow back” + “be inclusive, not exclusive” + “it is social, not anti-social media” which are now regarded as basic guidelines for good social media. Tapped by Google to alpha test their social media platform Schemer, invited to the Brizo Blogger19 in February 2011 and regularly part of the Bloggers Lounge at the DDB for Fall & Spring Markets; NDD is well regarded as a Tastemaker + Influencer within the industry. As EIC of BKLYN contessa, NDD publishes meticulously curated content on ART | FOOD | TRAVEL | DESIGN to inform and inspire a life well-lived. NDD has also lent her well-honed eye to Curio Magazine, based in London, as a Contributing Editor + Photographer.

NDD founded studio NDD in 2005 and focuses on fine art + interior + editorial photography. NDD first exhibited in a juried show in 2004 and most recently presented her work in Go Brooklyn, curated by the Brooklyn Museum.

Captivated by design since childhood; NDD embraced her inner Julia Sugarbaker and wallpapered her Barbie dream house with samples she pocketed from quick trips to the local hardware store. After she purchased her first Vogue [the September issue] in 6th grade her fascination with design expanded and she began to cultivate her aesthetic. Now with over a decade in the industry, NDD founded atelier NDD, a boutique interior + product design firm.
